Self Belief

Do you believe in yourself?

Do you have the self belief to take the actions you need to achieve your goals?

Having self belief is reflected in the way you think and feel and the actions you take as a result. It’s not just self-confidence and self-esteem that impact, but having the right attitude to apply yourself with all your ability.

Self belief is a mindset and involves 3 core steps;

  1. Listen and learn with an open mind

    Learn the fundamental art of deep listening both to yourself, your peers and your clients, and learn to absorb the knowledge shared by others. If you apply yourself to learning with an open mind, you will understand more about yourself as well as your subject. Allow yourself to be curious. It doesn’t matter how intelligent you are, the power is in knowing what you do know, but more importantly acknowledging what you do not know and committing to learning.  A change in mindset is formed by engaging new thoughts and embracing new ways of thinking. You can change any past blinkered views with the right attitude. Attitude can be learnt, but you have to want to change it. To create new realities, attitude is way more important than intelligence. What new skills could you learn?

  2. Embrace your positive feelings and emotions

    Ensure you invest time and energy in exploring what makes you feel good. Focus on revisiting your positive emotions as often as possible. Remember those feelings and sensations and the specific time and place so you can revisit the memory any time. Imagine feeling your best and feeling great. What if you could feel like that every waking hour?

  3. Act as if....

    Do the things that make you feel amazing, and act as if this is how you always feel. Act the way you want to feel, and act as if you have complete self belief. Self-acceptance is key, accept and value yourself as the truly wonderful person you are whose life is incredible. Act as if you feel happy/joyous/positive/inspired.....play with the parameters here. Be that way. What if you acted this way all the time? Would that feel incredible?

Change your future reality.

Your future is not based on your past unless you choose it to be.

You can choose self-belief and you can choose to think abut how you want to feel and act, and act as if you feel that way all the time.
